Hewlett-Packard has resolved an intellectual property dispute with Nomadix. The dispute centered around access gateways designed for the Internet.
Nomadix specializes in offering gateways for multiple connectivity solutions across a wide range of public access networks. The company allows for public access network providers to employ progressively priced network solutions, according to the company. Nomadix is a subsidiary of DOCOMO interTouch. While the brand may not resonate quite the way HP does with consumers, the brand maintains aspects of their patent were used to bolster Hewlett-Packard.
The case was brought before the US Distrcit Court in California. After some deliberation, a settlement was reached between both parties. Part of the settlement includes a license to HP following the terms of Nomadix’s patents as relates to Internet access technologies. Further details surrounding the reached agreement rep
